A global ventilation engineering company built on aerodynamic precision, material science expertise, and relentless testing discipline.
Howden AeroFlow was founded in 2003 by a group of aerodynamic engineers who saw an industry gap: industrial fan procurement was dominated by legacy spec-and-build models with little investment in computational design or real-world performance verification.
We set out to change that. Starting with a single AMCA-certified test chamber and a 12-person engineering team, we built a reputation for delivering fans whose installed performance matched — or exceeded — their certified data sheets. Today, 38,000+ installations across 45 countries validate that approach.
With 3 manufacturing facilities and 62 R&D engineers, we apply CFD simulation, advanced materials engineering, and VFD integration expertise to every fan we design — whether it's a 2,000 mm mine ventilation fan or a 300 mm EC fan for a data center CRAH unit.
Over 30% of our workforce holds engineering degrees. Our R&D team includes specialists in computational fluid dynamics, structural finite element analysis, rotordynamics, acoustic engineering, and metallurgy.
This depth of in-house expertise allows us to handle non-standard applications that generic fan suppliers avoid: high-temperature corrosive gas streams, explosive atmospheres requiring ATEX certification, and ultra-low-noise installations where aeroacoustic modeling is critical.
